Now before you post some crazy comment on how I have no idea how long hacking takes and how difficult it is blah blah blah…. I have unlimited respect for the dev-team and would never hate on them.

So getting on with the post as you well know Geohot has made a release of an Unlock called BlackSn0w which will unlock your iPhone 3g/3GS if you are running 3.1.2 and have the baseband 05.11.07… Now the first time i heard about geohot was back in 2007 I just got my iPod Touch excited and ready to hack and I came across one of Geohots youtube videos where he shows the Worlds first hardware unlock for the iPhone. What surprised me was why he waited so long to make new jailbreaks and unlocks. Now he is doing some major (dare I say it) PWNAGE on the dev-team.

A few hours ago GeoHot released his Windows 3.1.* jailbreak for all devices. So far results appear to be generally positive and most are reporting an easy jailbreak with few problems, though some iPod touch 3G users are held to a tethered jailbreak for the time being and issues are being reported with the new updated 8GB device.

As usual iPhone 3G and 3GS users should be aware that blackra1n DOES NOT UNLOCK and you should not upgrade to 3.1.* firmwares as the 05.11.07 baseband has not been hacked. If you need an unlock you should stay on 3.0.* firmwares as the 04.26.08 can be unlocked with ultrasn0w, though you may create and install a custom 3.1.* ipsw (with the 04.26.08 baseband hacked in) with the Dev Team’s PwnageTool v3.1.3 for Mac. Other news? As everyone with any sense had already worked out, the ‘other’ jailbreak that was scheduled to drop this weekend was a total fa1|ure and a fake. blackra1n is the ONLY 3.1.* jailbreak currently available.

In light of the new 3.1 jailbreaks it’s worth repeating MuscleNerd’s warning again given that some people still don’t understand that there is no carrier unlock for the 3G and 3GS on OS 3.1. If you need a carrier unlock you need to use the Dev Team’s PwnageTool to create a custom firmware which has had a lower baseband hacked in.

Worms which is a turn based TEAM VS TEAM shooter

You are a TEAM of worms with one task.. TO ELIMINATE AND TO CONQUER!!!

You have an array of weaponry to obliterate the opposing team INCLUDING Bazzokas, grenades, shotguns YOU NAME

You are to strategicly eliminate all of the opposing teams worms either by droping their health to zero making them fall in water or suicide XD

The terrain for every arena is never the same as it is randomly generized by the application

The terrain also includes some random mines and gas tanks throughout the arena which will cause extra damage if knocked into mines or by shooting the gas barrels

The games Controls are very simplistic

Although the application can have some lag this is not a problem with the application but the ipod itself. it has been reported that it is of the ipod being Jailbroken, or just being low on runtime memory. In which result i recommend buying memory info which free’s up runtime memory.

This Game is Worthy Of 5/5 starts on my review but new comers to the worms franchise arent as fond of it as i am which is why it has a 4/5 on the apps store

Once again i find a new application changing the way i use technology. But this time its in the twitter community, TwitBird Pro is one of my new favorite applications and you are about to find out why.

I would like to start off saying this application is one of the few that i have seen that does what it says it does and does it perfectly. Now on to the review

Anyone like to sleep to music? But will wake up in the mourning with a dead battery? Well i have the solution for you, its called iFader and it does just that. iFader is an application that will fade out and stop your iphone or ipod touches music over or after a selected period of time. And it is very easy to use and set up as well. As seen in the photos below, it is easy to select the amount of time you want the music to play as well as the gradual decrease of the volume. You can also selected the default amount of time the music will play as well as the option to stop playing the music when the volume is fully muted.

I have found no cons with this app but the fact that asome people might find the cost a bit high even though it is only $0.99 when you think about it this application could have been free, but i think it is still worth the price. Thats why i give this application a 10 out of 10 for being able to do exactally what it says and do it well.
